Deposits and Payments

A deposit of as specified for each particular trip reserves your spot. When you order, you are welcome to either put down the deposit or pay your registration in full.

The balance of payment is due April 30, 2026. In late April, 2026, Reliance College will send you a link to your order where you can complete the payment.

Payments for Reliance College’s Great Connections trip can be made by credit card, or by check in U.S.  funds. Please make checks out to Reliance College. Please contact us to register by check; contact details are below.

We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

Verbal authorization for the use of your credit card for deposit confirms your reservation and indicates your agreement with our registration and cancellation policy for a Great Connections trip.

Included and non-included costs

Included in the registration cost for the Spain’s Contributions to Freedom trip, Wednesday, June 17 to Wednesday, July 2, 2026, are:

  • Transport from Madrid to the hotel and, at the end of the trip, transport to the airport
  • Welcome dinner on the first night of the trip.
  • 15 nights in 4* air-conditioned hotels with breakfast
  • Services of a licensed local guide for a total of eight (8) days
  • Services of a Spanish/English-speaking tour leader for the full sixteen (16) days of the program
  • Private coach transportation throughout the trip
  • One seminar every other day led by Reliance College guides.
  • Seminar materials online and prep guidance from your seminar leaders

Not Included: Other dinners and all lunches; city hotel taxes, museum entrance fees (mostly discounted group fees); personal expenses; travel insurance

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations by you:

If you must cancel your registration, please notify Reliance College immediately by calling (773) 677-6418. You can also email us at operations@reliancecollege.org.

If you cancel by March 29, 2026, you will receive a full refund minus $2,000 for double occupancy, $2,500 for single occupancy; you can use your $2,000 or $2,500 for a Great Connections program in the next three calendar years.

If you cancel your Great Connections registration prior to May 15, 2026, you will receive a refund of 40% of your payments. 

We do not refund payments for cancellations made after May 15, 2026. If you find you need to cancel after this date for extraordinary circumstances, please contact us at operations@reliancecollege.org.

Cancellations by Reliance College: 

Reliance College reserves the right to cancel The Great Connections in Spain for any reason, including insufficient number of participants. If The Great Connections in Spain is cancelled as a result of suspension of operations by Reliance College, you will have the choice of:

  • a full refund of any monies paid for Reliance College 2026 registration
  • transfer of the full value of your payment to a future Reliance College program.

Travel and insurance

Travelling overseas has its uncertainties; we strongly encourage you to purchase trip cancellation insurance that matches your level of risk tolerance. Reliance College will not refund cancellations outside our policy parameters owing to failure to purchase travel insurance.

Reliance College  is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you may incur as a result of you cancelling your registration or of Reliance College cancelling the program. This includes expenses for nonrefundable flights, rail, or other transport; hotel or other accommodations; passports, visas, vaccinations, or any other expense related to attending Spain’s Contributions to Freedom. Please read carefully all terms and conditions of any travel-related purchases before you buy.

We always encourage those travelling outside the U.S. to also purchase travel health insurance. These costs are not included with your registration.

Seminar Changes

We encourage you to read the seminar descriptions carefully to make sure the topic and amount of reading are a good match for you. We are always happy to provide more information about a seminar or put you in contact with a seminar leader.

Code of Conduct

Travelers and Great Connections Staff are expected to act with civility and reasonableness throughout the trip, with each other and with the Great Connections Staff, especially in regard to any disputes. 

Staff and Travelers are expected to resolve disputes with decorum, using reason and evidence, without haranguing each other. Travelers are required to give any requests or complaints to the Great Connections trip leader.

Travelers and staff are expected to be on-time for group events.

The Great Connections/Reliance College does not tolerate mistreatment on the basis of sex, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, ancestry, citizenship, religion (or belief,

where applicable), age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, or any other category protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.

Staff, Travelers, and Volunteers are expected to adhere to this code. Reliance College  reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any service to any participant. No refunds or partial refunds will be given for participants who do not complete the program because of code of conduct violations. 

Reliance College will investigate and resolve any disputes in a respectful and timely manner. In the investigation or complaint, information will only be shared as necessary to implement the investigation, protect staff or Travelers, resolve the dispute or as required by law. 

Limitation of liability

All services are organized by Reliance College  acting as agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing classroom and event space.
