Stephen Hicks is Professor of Philosophy at Rockford University. He is the author of Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault Nietzsche and the Nazis, and innumerable articles on education, art, entrepreneurship and more, including a Wall Street Journal piece ”What Entrepreneurship Can Teach Us about Life.” Professor Hicks has been teaching for almost 30 years and is renowned for his insights on intellectual history and its relationship to world events.

You can hear him put these into practice on his “Open College” podcast. His “Philosophy of Education” course is available free online at YouTube. He and co-author Andrew Colgan have recently completed a new manuscript-soon-to-be-book, Eight Philosophies of Education.
